Types of prosthesis
They can be divided into 2 groups:
Saline-filled prosthesis (prosthetic inflatable)
The silicone prosthesis.
We always use silicone gel prosthesis by the following:
- Touch much more natural
- The risk of rupture and gel exit the cavity prostheses has decreased dramatically with the use of gel implants high cohesiveness.
- The techniques we use allow desired implant placement without re-typing and then fill vacuum.
- Inflatable implants can lose fluid through the filling valve, which does not occur with gel implants.
Among the silicone gel prosthesis exist anatomical and prosthetic type spherical or round. Each also has multiple profiles, projections and volumes, so be specified in each case with the patient the most appropriate prosthesis for her, given what you want to achieve with the intervention.
For about 5 years use mark implants Perthese (link) given the wide variability and the result offers.
To illustrate this explanation, we present the clinical cases, explaining the technique used and the type of prosthesis.
